...not in Kansas any more or was it a left at Albuquerque?

The whole world is a goddamn changing.

A friend of mine said it best the other day, “How modern are we that I found out my friend is getting married through a blog?” And Cossey is right. Out of all the forms of communication we have to choose from in this day and age; cell phone; text message; email; snail mail; smoke signal and telepathy, a blog is right on that new horizon of spreading your good news. Of course, a video blog would have been even more cutting edge, but who knows, Jacob might be saving that for a birth announcement in the years to come.

Even in this world of telecom and ecommerce, some things just keep changing the way they always have. Friends and family move away to start new lives and late nights of drinking and deciding how the world should really spin give way to slow dances in the kitchen with your only friend for miles. Since you mentioned friends, I had the pleasure of being in the wedding of one of my best last week and I can't think of many feelings better than being a part of something so important. The funny thing is, though he's married and I will soon be, things haven't changed. So what if that son of a bitch has a ring on his finger. You think that's gonna stop me from getting him piss ass drunk the next time he gets south to Baton Rouge? And if their are any changes, they're just the ones who come along with age. But I think it’s fair to believe these are just a few of those changes. Enough to get our feathers damp before they really get wet before they really get drenched before you call the coast guard.
